The 8th Moscow International Halal Expo will be held at the Sokolniki Exhibition and Culture Centre from November 16 to 18, 2017.
In order to attract more professional visitors interested in halal food, the organizer of the exhibition, Alif Consult, deliberately postponed the date of the exhibition from early summer to late autumn.
According to the organizers, more than 200 buyers from 25 countries and 23 regions of Russia registered three months before the exhibition.
Companies from Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Malta, Lithuania and the CIS showed the greatest interest in halal products from Russia.
Buyers from all regions were interested in halal products, including representatives from the Moscow region, Chechnya, Dagestan, Krosnodar region, Vladimir region, Saratov region, etc. The greatest demand for halal products came from representatives of the traditional Moscow region.
The Halal Expo platform increases the share of halal-labelled products in chain stores and small shops every year.
The market for halal products and services is growing around the world, driven not only by the growing Muslim population but also by the trend towards healthy and environmentally friendly foods. Russian manufacturers are increasingly focusing on this market and are launching halal product lines for a variety of products.
