WHL is appointed by Muis to conduct Certification Audits on companies for new application or renewal of the Halal Certificates. As required by Muis, these companies need to be assessed to ensure that their premises comply with the standards set by Muis before they are issued or re-issued with the Halal Certificates. Throughout the Certification Audits, companies will undergo a broad examination of their work environment and premises as stated by the schemes that they are applying. WHL conducts Periodic Inspections in a strict and confidential manner. Our Halal inspection team - who is professionally trained by Muis - executes these unannounced Periodic Inspections on a daily basis to ensure compliance at Muis Halal-certified premises. All inspected premises must comply with the HalMQ System by providing the relevant required documents in accordance to the Halal Periodic Inspection Checklist. Food Verification and Ritual Cleansing
Food Inspection and Cleansing Rituals
WHL is appointed by Muis to provide ad-hoc Halal services such as Food Verification and Ritual Cleansing in Singapore. Regarding to Food Verification, WHL verifies and confirms that foods and its ingredients and/or beverages served to Muslims - during social functions such as luncheons, weddings, seminars and corporate gatherings organised in hotels, exhibition halls or outdoor locations - are Halal in accordance with the Islamic law. Furthermore, pertaining to Ritual Cleansing, WHL will check and attest that all premises and equipment used to prepare foods and beverages such as kitchen and utensils are uncontaminated with non-Halal food and can be used by Muslim customers. In order to comply with Muis Halal Certification Conditions, Ritual Cleansing is an essential requirement for all premises and equipment that come into direct contact with non-Halal food such as pork.
