ICNC discusses Halal

On November 9, 2011, Asma Ahad, IFANCA's U.S. Marketing Manager, presented a keynote presentation on local and global halal business opportunities at the Nearwest Chicago Industrial Council (ICNC). Mrs. Ahad discussed case studies of small, medium, and large industrial companies that have increased their market share by adding halal products to their product lines. She also took the opportunity to explain to the entrepreneurs in attendance the IFANCA halal certification process in place.

Chicago community builders focus on Halal

On November 7, 2011, IFANCA Marketing Manager, Asma Ahad, gave a presentation on the topic of "The Importance of Deciding to Be Healthy and Halal" at the Chicago Community Builders Conference (CBC). A summary of her presentation can be viewed on the CBC website, www.mycommunitybuilders.com.

CIOGC IFANCA annual community dinner

This year's CIOGC dinner was held on October 15, 2011, co-hosted by IFANCA. Dr. Chaudry, President of IFANCA, and four other IFANCA representatives attended the dinner. The dinner was a great success, with over 900 guests in attendance. Representatives from various CIOGC-affiliated organizations also attended, as did officials from several countries, counties, and cities. Several attendees visited the IFANCA booth to inquire about halal concepts and halal food. Visitors also received information from the Halal Consumer magazine published by IFANCA and other halal information brochures.

IFANCA helps families in need celebrate Thanksgiving

The community generously donated $9,700 to distribute turkeys to families in Chicago, and IFANCA was delighted to be part of this response. On Monday, November 21st, Dr. Jihad, Dr. Sofia, and volunteers distributed a total of 780 turkeys. This was a tremendous blessing, and IFANCA and AMAL would like to thank the donors.

On November 9, 2011, Asma Ahad, Director of Marketing, Isl.amic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA) made a presentation on the topic of local and global Halal business opportunities, at the Industrial Council of Nearwest Chicago (ICNC). Mrs. Ahad discussed the case studies of small, medium and large industries that increased market share for their products after adding Halal product lines. She also took the opportunity to explain to the entrepreneurs present in the meeting, the Halal Certification process put in place by (IFANCA).

IFANCA at CIOGC Annual Community Dinner

This years council of Islamic Organizations of Great Chicago (CIOGC) dinner held on October 15, 2011, was co-sponsored by IFANCA. Dr. Chaudry, IFANCA President and four other IFANCA representatives attended the dinner. The dinner was very successful with more than 900 guests in attendance. Various CIOGC affiliated organizations were represented. A number of state, county and city officials were also in attendance. Several attendees visited IFANCAs booth and they inquired about the concepts of Halal as well as Halal products. The visitors were provided copies of the Halal Consumer? magazine published by IFANCA and other Halal informational brochures.

You helped feed 760 needy families this Thanksgiving!

IFANCA is pleased to share the great response from the community who generously donated about $9,700 for the distribution of turkeys to deserving families in the Chicago land area. On Monday, November 21, 201, Dr. Jihad and Dr. Sofia accompanied by volunteers handed out a total of 780 turkeys; 550 families at Emmett Till Academy, located at 6543 S. Champlain in Chicago, IL; 210 turkeys were sent to the Inner City Muslim Action Network (IMAN), and 20 turkeys were sent to the Sabeel Food Pantry for distribution to most deserving families. It is a great blessing, IFANCA & AMAL would like to thank the donors who participated in the 2011 Turkey Drive.
