Items that are not considered kosher during Passover
2025-05-15
There are a number of items that are not kosher for Passover. These include:
Any plate or bowl made of ceramic, bone china, or various clays is not considered kosher because these materials are porous. (Most porcelain is a combination of various clays.)
Any plastic products are also not considered kosher because they can absorb tiny particles of food. (This is an Ashkenazic custom only, and not all rabbis agree with this position.)
During Passover, baking pans are not Kosher.
