Thailand, the world's largest exporter of Halal-certified products
2025-05-15
Despite being a Buddhist country with only 8% of the population being Muslim, the Thai government, which is committed to the halal industry, held the annual Thailand Halal Conference 2019 for three days from December 20 to 22, 2019.
It is sponsored by the National Center for Halal Science at Chulalongkorn University and the Central Halal Council of Thailand (CICOT).
In addition to conferences and exhibitions held at the main venue, meetings were held by sector at each venue, and we participated in a conference that brought together halal certification organizations from around the world.
Discussions on halal certification issues are held around the world every day, with participation from non-governmental halal certification bodies, including those from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the Philippines and other governmental halal certification bodies.
Special attention will be paid to the future trends of national certification bodies and the integration of global non-governmental halal certification bodies.
Mutual recognition with Thailand
Our Halal certification body has signed a mutual recognition agreement with a Thai certification body, which includes the fact that there is no problem in exporting Halal products to the Kingdom of Thailand with our certification, sharing common resources and information, and always maintaining a cooperative relationship.
