The 13th International Islamic Exhibition will be held in the UAE
2025-05-15
The 13th International Halal Exhibition will be held at the Sharjah World Trade Center Exhibition Hall in the United Arab Emirates from April 24 to 29, 2011. The exhibition will primarily showcase Halal food, Muslim products, household items, and other key consumer products for Muslims.
The International Halal Exhibition is a comprehensive exhibition that promotes business, trade, and investment cooperation among companies from the organization's 57 member countries. It has significantly boosted trade cooperation among Muslim companies and has become one of the largest and most influential international exhibitions in the Middle East. Held every two years, the exhibition tours key cities in member countries.
The last exhibition was held in Cairo, Egypt in 2009. About 100,000 merchants from more than 60 countries and regions attended the exhibition to visit, negotiate and purchase goods, including more than 80,000 professional merchants. More than 80% of the professional visitors came from industries such as electromechanical products, electronic appliances, clothing fabrics, halal food and Muslim products. It has become the largest trade platform for cooperation between Muslim enterprises.
The UAE, the host of this event, is the largest trade center and distribution hub for re-exported goods in the Middle East, boasting a strategic location and extensive market reach. Furthermore, the government allows for free import and export of goods; there are no restrictions on foreign exchange receipts and payments, allowing for free exchange and circulation; and the re-export tax rate is 1%, with goods re-exported to other regions within six months being duty-free. Consequently, it has been dubbed "the world's largest free trade zone" and "the Hong Kong of the Middle East."
Through Sharjah, goods can be resold to the Gulf region, Eastern Europe, Africa, and South Asia, reaching a population of 1.3 billion. This has helped Chinese Muslim companies explore the international market in the UAE and the Middle East, promoted economic and trade cooperation with countries around the world, and made significant contributions.
