The World Halal Forum is the world's leading halal food industry event, held annually in Kuala Lumpur. The 6th Forum, held in April 2011 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, focused on building a halal economy and values ​​system in the global marketplace. Over 600 delegates from over 40 countries attended. This year's World Halal Forum marked a milestone for the halal industry with the unveiling of the first-ever Halal Food Index, establishing halal as an asset class within the investment community. The SAMI (Socially Acceptable Market Investment) Halal Food Index includes over 200 companies in Muslim-majority countries with a combined market capitalization exceeding US$100 billion. The Ningxia economic and trade delegation participated in the forum and gained a significant benefit.

Ningxia Economic and Trade Delegation Achieves Great Harvest

The Ningxia Economic and Trade Delegation participated in the 6th World Halal Forum, introducing Ningxia's regional situation, foreign trade and economic cooperation, and the development of the halal industry to experts and scholars from Muslim countries, including governments, businesses, international organizations, certification bodies, and academia. The delegation cordially invited representatives from various countries to participate in the 2011 China-Arab Expo. The delegation found promising partners and reached consensus on the export of halal food and Muslim products, as well as cooperation on sand control and desertification prevention. At the forum, the delegation engaged in discussions with Malaysia's Hongyu Group, IMAF, Fahim Technologies, and the Singapore Trade Development Board, reaching consensus on projects such as halal industry cooperation, the Yinchuan Yuehai Bay Business District, and the Ningxia World Muslim City. The Ningxia Autonomous Region Investment Promotion Bureau signed a letter of intent for economic and trade cooperation with IMAF, and the Ningxia Autonomous Region Forestry Bureau also signed a letter of intent for cooperation on sand control and desertification prevention with IMAF.
