Over the past two years, plant-based food consumption has grown by 49% across the EU, reaching a total sales volume of €3.6 billion.
Saudi Arabia likes Malaysian halal products

Malaysia's palm oil, wood products, and furniture, given its position as a halal hub, have significant potential for further growth in the Saudi market. Mohammed Khalid Abdul Razak, the Malaysian Consul General in Jeddah, stated that efforts are needed to promote these products and the halal hub. He stated that over 70% of Saudi Arabia's food product demand is imported, and the halal hub could be further strengthened. "Last year, approximately 87,000 Saudi Arabian tourists arrived in Malaysia. Hopefully, with better promotion this year, this number will rise," he said.
Currently, Malaysia is one of the world's leading centers for halal food certification and Muslim food manufacturing. Malaysia's halal certification has gained international recognition and acceptance, facilitating business relationships for Malaysian companies worldwide. The 2010 MIHAS Malaysia International Halal Exhibition achieved sales of US$400 million, with over 32,000 traders from 81 countries participating. The top five buyers were palm oil products, processed foods and beverages, confectionery, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics and skincare products. The top ten countries by purchasing value were the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ukraine, Australia, Japan, Morocco, Singapore, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, and South Africa.
Many companies in China have already obtained Halal certification and are actively entering the Halal market, such as Shanghai Amin Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Shandong Jinli Biological Products Co., Ltd., and Perfect (China) Daily Products Co., Ltd. We hope that more companies will pay more attention to this market, enter it at the right time, and benefit from it.
